| ISSUE: |

|
| ISSUE: |
I am using a Polar S510 with a cadence
sensor but after I download my SonicLink Data from my
heart rate monitor the cadence data does not appear in
PC Coach.
|
| SOLUTION: |
Make sure you have the correct bike selected and the
cadence option turned on in your S510 prior to performing
the workout. You can use the Uplink feature in PC Coach
to do this - Use the Data Transfer Center or choose File/Upload/Define
Bikes from the top tool bar or the Uplink Bike Select
icon from your left tool bar.
If you have made sure the correct bike is selected and
that the cadence option is turned on, then the problem
is most likely with your cadence sensor. Make sure your
cadence sensor is properly connected, within an appropriate
distance to the wrist receiver, and that the cadence sensor
is properly positioned on your bicycle's down-tube.

| ISSUE: |
I am using a Polar S410/S510 that
is supposed to capture my calorie count for a workout
- but after I download my SonicLink Data from my heart
rate monitor the calorie field in the Heart Rate Summary
Box is blank in PC Coach.
|
| SOLUTION: |
To activate the calorie count in your monitor you must
first turn the OwnCal function on and enter your user
data into the monitor. This can easily be done by utilizing
the Uplink feature in PC Coach. From your top tool bar
choose File/Uplink/User Data. Enter your correct user
data into the PC Coach fields and make sure to select
OwnCal under 'Enable Monitor Features'. Next time you
perform a workout it will capture your calorie count and
the data will be available to download into PC Coach.

|
| ISSUE: |
When I attempt to Uplink data from
PC Coach into my HRM my monitor reads either 'failed'
or a percentage Uplinked less than 100%. How do I correct
this?
|
| SOLUTION: |
| 1. |
Confirm that your
speakers are properly connected to your PC. |
| 2. |
Confirm that your
speakers are turned on and are not muted in Microsoft
Windows Playback control (accessed by clicking the
small speaker icon on your Windows taskbar). |
| 3. |
Try increasing the
volume to get a stronger uplink signal. |
| 4. |
Please note that some
larger speakers have a particular area where the sound
is more concentrated, try to hold the monitor close
to that area during uplink. |
| |
|
|
If you attempt steps 1-4 but still are not able
to uplink successfully, you may be experiencing
a conflict with magnetic fields in the PC environment.
To remedy, try the following:
|
| |
|
| 1. |
DO NOT wear your chest
strap transmitter while uplinking. |
| 2. |
Position the speakers
as far as possible from other computer components
(other speakers, the computer monitor, the CPU etc.).

| ISSUE: |
I created an Exercise Set in PC
Coach but when I went to Uplink it I received an error
that reads 'non-valid parameters.'
|
| SOLUTION: |
If you receive a 'non-valid parameters' error at the
time of Uplink you should review the entries you made
in the exercise set fields in PC Coach. Choose 'Edit'
and correct any incorrect or illogical entries and then
attempt to Uplink again.
|
|
| ISSUE: |
I Uplinked an exercise set from
PC Coach into my heart rate monitor. I set the exercise
set up to use a recovery calculation but when I went to
perform the workout the recovery function was not activated.
What did I do wrong?
|
| SOLUTION: |
When you choose one of the recovery methods in your exercise
set (heart rate based or time) you must also select or
enable the recovery method to be turned on. Please edit
the exercise set you created in PC Coach and ensure you
have enabled the recovery function and then re-Uplink
the set. Next time you perform that workout the recovery
should work fine.

| ISSUE: |
I am using a Polar S410/S510 and
when I went to Uplink my date and time from PC Coach the
date/year was incorrect.
|
| SOLUTION: |
The date, including year, is pulled in from your Windows
System date. Close out of the Uplink window in PC Coach
and correct the date in your lower desktop toolbar by
double-clicking on the time display. Once corrected there,
re-Uplink the date from PC Coach.
