| QUESTION: |
Is there a way to create my own
workout type in PC Coach Elite? I do other activities
like in-line skating and rowing that I'd like to set up
as workouts.
|
| ANSWER: |
Use the Workout Editor to create your own workouts. Before
you start, we recommend you read through the available
Help Topics for this feature - go to Help/PC Coach Help
Topics from your top tool bar and read through the chapter
on the Workout Editor. It is also helpful to open up some
of the existing workouts in the Workout Editor to see
how they are set up.

| QUESTION: |
I have workouts sitting in my 'Personal
Folder' that I would like to get rid of - is there a way
to do this in PC Coach Elite?
|
| ANSWER: |
Yes. Your Personal Folder consists of workouts that you
and/or the training plan software placed on your calendar
AND any workout you have created yourself in Workout Form
Editor. (In other words, after you remove it from your
Personal Folder it will show up again if placed on your
calendar in the future.) To remove a workout from your
Personal Folder choose Tools/Workout Form Editor from
your top tool bar. Once in Workout Editor, click on the
open folder icon in the tool bar, select the workout you
wish to remove from your Personal Folder and say 'ok'.
Next, from your top toolbar choose File/Delete - the program
will ask you to confirm the deletion. If you say yes it
will warn you if you have entries on your calendar using
the workout you are going to delete - if you proceed to
delete, it will delete all existing calendar entries,
including attached SonicLink data, that are using this
workout. You will have an option to Cancel the deletion
or to continue by choosing 'Destroy'.

| QUESTION: |
Is there any place to attach text
notes to a workout? I like to keep track of weather conditions,
terrain, overall quality of my workout each day.
|
| ANSWER: |
Yes, you can use the Log Notes feature
in PC Coach. Once you have completed a workout you can
access the Log Notes feature a few different ways. If
you have Workout View open there is an icon on the left
toolbar of the Workout View window that looks like a pen.
You can also click on the 'L' icon in your top speed bar
or choose View/Log Notes from your top tool bar.

| QUESTION: |
I would like to keep track of some
personal data each day (e.g., weight, resting heart rate)
in my PC Coach program. How can I do this?
|
| ANSWER: |
You have two options. First,
one of the workout folders in PC Coach Elite is called
'Personal Stats' - in that folder is a workout called
'Health Log.' The Health Log allows you to track weight,
resting HR, sleep, etc
daily by placing that workout
on your calendar and completing it each day. Second, if
the data tracked in Health Log isn't everything you need,
you can create your own version of a health log in Tools/Workout
Editor, setting it up to track whatever data is relevant
to you. Either way, once these workouts are placed on
your calendar and periodically completed you can begin
tracking trends and history through Report Editor.

| QUESTION: |
I would like to export my SonicLink
Data into a different program (e.g. Microsoft Excel
)
- is this possible?
|
| ANSWER: |
No, PC Coach's data is stored in a proprietary format
and can not be exported to other programs or files.

| QUESTION: |
How can I change the workout title?
|
| ANSWER: |
First, open the workout in the Workout
Form Editor (under Tools). Once it is open, go to Options
/ Edit Display Formulas / Planned and Actual. Under Planned,
you will see how the workout title, abbreviated title,
and workout view will appear before the workout is completed.
Under actual, you can change how the workout title, abbreviated
title, and workout view will appear AFTER the workout
has been marked as completed. Abbreviated title is how
the title will appear on the calendar when the window
is not large enough to allow the full title. If you are
editing a workout that came with the program, you will
see the formula that brings specific workout details into
the title. You may need to arrow to the far left of this
formula line where you will find the text as it currently
appears; then you can change this as desired.
