Polar Monitors For Cyclists:
The Polar S725X, S720i,
and S520 heart rate monitors are
designed specifically for cyclists.
All of these monitors include a cycling speed sensor (which gives
you speed and distance while cycling), all have an optional
cadence sensor, and all download your workout data to your
computer.
The Polar 520 uses the SonicLink (microphone) interface and
the S725X and the 720i download using Polar's new InfraRed
(IR) technology. The IR technology is faster and more reliable,
so if you are planning on downloading every workout, we recommend
you choose either the S725 X or S720i.
For the ultimate in cycling information, add the optional
power sensor to either the
S725X or the 720i. The power sensor will tell you what your
power output is during your workout. It measures pedalling
power, left/right balance, pedalling index (how evenly power
was produced during a pedal revolution), speed, cadence and
distance. After your ride, your power data is downloaded along
with heart rate, speed and cadence for a full picture of your
cycling workout. The Polar power
sensor is just $349.95, and you can purchase it here..
For more information on any of our Polar heart monitors,
see our Polar HRM page.
Cyclists can use any of our monitors along with the PC
Coach Cycling Plan to get the most out of your heart rate
training. Both plans create a detailed training schedule for
you, based on your previous experience, current fitness level,
and goals for this training season.
For Runners:
Runners have many great choices in the Polar S-Series - the
Polar S625X, Polar RS200sd, S610, S410, and S210.
For the ultimate in running data, the Polar
S625X gives you speed and distance on the run, as well
as altitude, 3 target zones with alarms, 3 countdown timers,
intervals, time in/above and below your target zone, and much
more! It can store up to 99 hours worth of data, so you can
train all week before downloading if you like. Best of all,
this data will all download to your PC after your run, so
you can look at your workout data in more detail.
The Polar 610 is a great choice
for runners who do not need the speed and distance feature.
The S610i gives you all the great HRM features you need, such
as 3 target zones with alarms, 3 countdown timers, intervals,
time in/above and below your target zone, plus the ability

plus it lets you download your workout data to the computer
using the SonicLink download. By downloading your data, you
can automatically record your training data into your PC Coach
