Polar OwnZone® (advanced)
The Polar OwnZone feature
calculates a light to moderate intensity exercise zone (65-85%
of max HR) for an individual. One method used to determine
your OwnZone is by measuring your heart rate variability
in the warm-up period before you begin exercising. The watch
guides you through an appropriate warm-up routine and automatically
determines a safe and effective heart rate zone - your OwnZone
- while taking into account your physical condition. An
alternate method is to have the monitor automatically calculate
your OwnZone limits based on your age-predicted maximum
heart rate (220-age). The OwnZone Advanced feature consists
of two training areas: High and Low, providing greater variations
in exercising.
|
Polar Fitness Test
A fitness test that
meaasures your aerobic/cardiovascular fitness at rest in
just five minutes. The result, Polar OwnIndex, predicts
your maximal oxygen uptake, or VO2 Max. The Polar Fitness
Test takes into account your gender, age, height, body weight,
physical activity, heart rate and heart rate variability
at rest. The OwnIndex ranges from 20 - 95. OwnIndex is especially
meaningful for tracking changes in your fitness level over
time.
|
OwnCal
The Polar OwnCal feature shows your energy expenditure during
exercise as well as your accumulated kilocalories to date.
OwnCal calculation considers gender, body weight and exercise
heart rate. . |
Fitness
Bullets
This feature will show a bullet on the display of your heart
rate monitor for every 10 minutes spent exercising/training
in your target heart rate zone.
