Quick Setup Feature (S610, S710, and S720i only)
Many of the functions just described can also be performed with the Quick Setup Feature. The Quick Setup feature allows you to perform many monitor functions in one step. By default, you will download workouts, delete those workouts from the monitor memory once they are successfully downloaded, upload workout definitions for the next 5 scheduled workouts, uplink monitor settings (bike, altitude on, sampling rate), and check on monitor memory. You may do any or all of these functions.

By default, all will be performed, simply uncheck the box for any of the options you do not wish to do at this time.

Downloading With the Quick Setup Feature(S610/S710/S720i Users Only):

  1. Launch the Quick Setup feature by clicking on the left PC Coach button panel.
  2. Make sure that "Download any new workouts from the monitor" is checked.
  3. Note: if you'd like to clear the monitor's memory and erase existing workouts from the monitor, check the "Delete workouts from monitor…" check box.

Note: the Quick Setup feature takes advantage of the Polar infrared interface's bi-directional capabilities, thereby allowing you to download from the monitor and upload to the monitor simultaneously. For a complete explanation of the Quick Setup feature's options please see the sections on uploading and the complete Quick Setup explanation below.

Uploading from the Quick Setup Feature (S610/S710/S720i Users only)
If there are planned workouts scheduled on your PC Coach Calendar, you can upload them to the Polar monitor with the Quick Setup feature. If no uploadable workouts (prescheduled workouts that are not completed) are scheduled on your calendar, the upload option will not be active in the Quick Setup feature.

  1. Launch the Quick Setup feature by clicking on the left PC Coach button panel. Make sure that "Upload workout definitions for upcoming workouts" and "Upload monitor settings for your next workout…" are checked. (If these options are not available, it means that you don't have any uploadable workouts scheduled on your Calendar).
  2. Click Next.
  3. The definitions and monitor memory locations of your upcoming workouts are displayed. Note: PC Coach names the workout definitions based on the date they are scheduled on your calendar. (Therefore, your Long Ride scheduled for Fri May 24 will have an exercise definition name of Fri24.)

  4. Click Next.
  5. The monitor options for your next workout are displayed.*

*Monitor options depend on which heart rate monitor you are using. The Polar S610 does not allow for altitude or bike settings. Note that the sampling rate affects the amount of monitor memory that you will use.
