What to do with Imported Data.
Now that you've imported and/or downloaded data you can attach the data to workouts
in PC Coach. PC Coach workouts include ones that were scheduled by a PC Coach
Coaching Plan and workouts that you've scheduled yourself.
What are Workouts?
PC Coach uses a "workout" model for storing data. A workout stores
data such as distance, time, pace, speed, average heart rate and more. Workouts
are a thorough description of your exercise. You can attach heart rate data
to workouts. This will automatically fill in the workout data (workout duration,
number of intervals, etc) using information from the heart rate file, and it
will mark the workout as complete.
In the example below Sunday May 12, 2002 displays a planned easy run and an imported data file.
How to attach imported or downloaded data to a workout.
You can attach the imported data file to the long run workout by a few different
methods.
The easiest way to attach the imported data to a scheduled workout would simply
be to drag and drop the imported data icon onto the long run workout icon.
Drag and Drop Method
1. Select the Imported Data icon by clicking on it.
2. Holding down the mouse, drag and drop the Imported Data icon on to the workout.
3. You will see the workout icon turn gold (marked as complete). If you double
click on the workout icon, you will see that the data fields have been filled
in based on the heart rate data. Note: If any fields remain blank, you can enter
the data manually. (For example, on a run workout, the monitor data will fill
in the duration and heart rate information, but since the monitor does not know
how far you ran, you can enter the distance manually).
Attaching data through the Data Summary screen (S410 and S510 Users will usually use this method of attaching data to a workout).

NOTE: If you have no planned workouts, or do not wish to attach the data to
one of the planned workouts listed, do the following. In the Save Options screen
(Step 2) you can also choose "Select a workout to schedule" which
allows you to choose a new workout definition to which you can attach data.
