Downloading New Data

S610, S710, S720i, or S810 Users:
To download new data you can use the Data Transfer Center or the Quick Setup feature. Use the Data Center if you want only to download data. To download data and upload workout or user data simultaneously you should use the Quick Setup feature. Both are described in detail below.

S410 and S510 Users:
To download or upload data, you may use the upload/download icons on the left side of your screen. These appear once you have set up your HRM preference to be an S410 or S510.

Before you try to download data from your monitor, be sure you have plugged in your microphone. Also, be sure your microphone is selected as an input device, and that the volume slider is in a medium position using Microsoft Volume Control (see Windows Help for more information on Microsoft Volume Control). If you have trouble downloading data, go to "Help-PC Coach Help topics - Connecting Your Polar Monitor - Transferring Data with Sonic Link".

Downloads workout data from your S410/S510 to PC Coach. There you can choose to "attach" this data to a workout that is already scheduled on your calendar, or leave it unattached. If left unattached, it will appear as an "Imported Data" icon. (See more about attaching data to a workout under the "Attaching data through the Data Summary screen" section below.)
Uplinks a workout definition from PC Coach to your monitor. Use this icon to define and uplink your own exercise definition. If you wish to upload the monitor definition for a training plan workout that is scheduled on your calendar, open the workout view and click on the HRM icon on the left. This will upload the workout definition for the workout to your HRM.
Uplinks your bicycle settings (S510, S710 only).

You may also upload/download data from the S410 and S510 using the data transfer center (see description below).



Downloading data with the Data Center - this can be used by S410, S510, S610, S710, S720i, or S810 users.

  1. Launch the Data Transfer Center by clicking on the left PC Coach button panel.

  2. Click Next.

  3. Click the Download Data button:

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to download your data.

  5. Note: if you are a S610/S710/S720i user and you'd like to clear the monitor's memory and erase existing workouts from the monitor, check the "Delete workouts from monitor…" check box. This will permanently erase the workout data from the monitor.
