Adding Plans to your PC Coach system

Ready for a new challenge? Add a new plan !

Many athletes switch sports or events to experience a new training challenge. Did you know that PC Coach makes it easy to train for a new sport or event? Just add a new training plan (just $29.95), and you are ready to train in a whole new way.

For triathletes that are ending the triathlon season, a fall marathon would be the perfect end to your season. Perhaps you are switching from running to triathlon. Follow these simple steps, and you can be training for your new sport later today!

Step 1) Buy the new plan. Visit the PC Coach store - PC Coach Add-on and Upgrades page and buy the add-on training plan of your choice for $29.95. When you receive your CD, install your new plan in the same directory as your current version of PC Coach.

Step 2) If you are currently following a plan, stop the plan. You can't follow two plans at once, so before you start your new plan, first stop your current plan. To stop a plan, go to "Tools-Training plans - Cancel plan" This will stop your currently running training plan. You will be given the choice whether to erase the uncompleted workouts on your calendar.

Step 3) Start the new plan. To start your new training, go to "Tools-Training plans - Start a Training plan". Choose your new plan. When answering the interview questions, be sure to give yourself credit for the training you have already been doing.

For example, Coach Benson's Running plan lets you skip straight to Phase 2 if you have already established a running base. Jeff Galloway's Marathon plan asks you how many miles you are running per week, and Uta Pippig's marathon plan assumes you already have completed your base training, so it takes you straight to the more challenging workouts. For each training plan, consult the online training book concerning what the different training options are, so you can start off at the level that is right for you.

Step 4) Follow the new plan and have a great race! You will be training in a whole new way, but your workout schedule will still be created in your same user folder, and you will log your training data there as well.
