Establishing
an Aerobic Base
Whether you're seeking your first Ironman
qualifier or competing in the local triathlon, now is the
time to start developing a solid aerobic base that will
ensure your success this season. For many, developing an
aerobic base will mean tempering their enthusiasm. After
a few months of cold winter, most triathletes are rearing
to go, eager and excited to jump right back into training.
But at this time of year it is critical to not work too
hard too soon.
