Do you enjoy the feedback you receive from your heart rate
monitor, but hate the hard chest strap? Polar has a solution
for you. They created the Wearlink heart rate monitor strap
to make heart rate monitor training more comfortable. This
strap is compatible will all current Polar S-series models
and can be purchased as an accessory.
The Wearlink has an electrode strap made
of fabric and a small plastic connector. While it is still
worn around your chest, it is much more comfortable than
the standard plastic chest straps.
The WearLink transmitter adapts comfortably
to your body shape, and, the soft textile exterior feels
like clothing on the skin.
I tried it with several of our test
monitors (S720i, S510, and S410) and it worked perfectly
with each HRM. It was very comfortable when running – as
it was much lighter than the normal plastic strap. But I
really appreciated the Wearlink strap when I was cycling.
With the traditional plastic chest strap, it can be uncomfortable
when I lean over into aero position. The Wearlink is much
more flexible, and allows me to lean as far as I like without
discomfort.
The Wearlink is the standard chest strap
for the Polar M61 and M31 HRMs, but even if you already
own a Polar HRM, you can enjoy the comfort of the Wearlink.
The Polar WearLink 31 coded transmitter is compatible with
all current Polar S-series Heart Rate Monitors, and is sold
as an add-on accessory in the PC Coach store.
Other information you should know:
- The transmitter’s textile strap is
removable and machine washable.
- The wearlink uses coded technology.
- The WearLink transmitter has a changeable
battery and it delivers up to two years of use exercising
10 hours a week.
- The transmitter is water resistant
up to 30 meters and it is ECG accurate.
